Our History

We’ve Come A Long Way!

VHA is a pioneer in the prepaid wireless industry. We started in the earliest days of prepaid mobile, and we helped grow the industry nationally through many innovative new programs, contributions from our teammates and partners, and through the creative solutions that have met the test of time.

 
  • 2001 - Founded

    Company Founded by Vincent Huang

  • 2002 - California Launch

    Launched in California as 1st Prepaid Only Master Agent

  • 2003 - Boost Mobile Master Agent

    Became the largest Master Agent for Boost Mobile. Expanded urban focus.

  • 2004 - Southern USA Expansion

    Expanded operations to Midwest and South USA.

  • 2005 - Northern USA Expansion

    Expanded operations to Northeast USA.

  • 2006 - Activations

    Reached 1M Boost Mobile Activations.

  • 2010 - Western USA Expansion

    Expanded operations to Desert/ Mountain region.

  • 2013 - Footprint Expansion

    Achieved 1,900 dealerships nationwide.

  • 2014 - Best Place to Work 2014

    Awarded “Best Place to Work 2014” by Los Angeles Business Journal.

Vincent Huang President   Vincent’s 14 years of service at VHA has been characterized by vision and talent for helping independent retail operators succeed in business. From his conception of a distribution model dedicated solely to serving the emerging prepaid telecommunications industry, to the pace-setting initiatives he set in motion during the company’s U.S. expansion, he has propelled VHA toward its goal of becoming one of the most respected names in wireless industry today. In his spare time, you’ll find Vincent enjoying nature with his family.

Amy Malmquist Director of Sales Operations   Amy has over 20 year of experience helping turn around businesses to profitability. Her experience is in wholesale distribution, retail, business development, launching new markets, training, HR and business consulting. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her son and husband at the beach.

Jay Marin Director of Sales, West & Desert Mountain   As the Director of Sales for the West Region at VHA, Jay Marin works in tandem with field sales teams and internal account managers in the West Coast to ensure that each dealer achieves commercial success. Based in Los Angeles, Jay has over 10 years’ experience in people development, sales management, team building, business planning and relationship management. When he is not developing programs for Boost Mobile dealers, Jay likes working out and enjoying live sporting and music events.

Elizabeth Varela
Director of Sales, Northern and Mid-West

Based in Chicago, Elizabeth Varela joined VHA in 2009 to drive growth and profitability across VHA’s dealer base in Northern and Mid-West USA. In her role as the Director of Sales for the North Region at VHA, Liz is responsible for the development of VHA’s sales team to deliver metrics and results of company initiatives, for the financial health of our dealers and the relationship with Boost Mobile’s leadership team. In her spare time, you’ll find her spending time with her grandkids.

Cory Slipakoff  Director of Sales, South & South East   Cory Slipakoff is the Director of Sales for the South Region at VHA. Based in Dallas, Cory joined VHA in 2015 to establish the strategic direction and lead VHA’s local teams in Southern USA. With extensive experience in the wireless communications industry, Cory’s primary role at VHA is to manage, train and develop his team so that their dealers achieve success through the VHA way. He spends most of his free time with his wife enjoying the outdoors, travelling and playing sports.

Cory Slipakoff
Director of Sales, South & South East
